The October Birchbox theme was Positive Force and the box was pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.
I have sampled quite a few Supergoop! products. They are usually really thick given their SPF properties. However, this hand cream was super easy to rub in, which was a pleasant delight.
I may very well be one of last makeup mavens to try Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara. That being said, I am SO glad I waited to get it in my Birchbox. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great. But I am glad I didn’t splurge on the full size product before trying it.
What feels like forever ago, I had a (Malin+Goetz) candle, so I was somewhat familiar with the brand, but had not tried any of their skincare line. I didn’t hate the moisturizer, but it was pretty basic in my opinion. The cleanser was also rather simple, but the smell was invigorating and I like it for a refreshing morning pick me up. I actually liked that it didn’t contain micro-beads, so I can use it everyday.
Dear Clark, I sampled not too long about. It wasn’t my favorite sample, but I used to all, so clearly I liked it somewhat. This will not be the case with the thickening balm. My hair is naturally thick, so I really don’t need it.
I made the mistake of trying it anyways.
The result was five seconds of manageability, followed by a sticky nightmare…
I did not expect my favorite sample this month to be the Calypso St. Barth fragrance. It’s airy and light, but warm with just a hint of vanilla. At $75 a bottle, I won’t be buying any once this sample is gone, but I will be wearing it to Monarch Workshop this weekend, for sure!
The holiday season is just around the corner and I’m really excited to see all of what Birchbox has in store.
