Holiday Party Survival Guide | Twenty Something Plus

It doesn’t take much to make me feel like the bell of the ball.
But the details matter.

For me, it’s all in the finishing touches.

There are several things I know to be true when getting ready for a holiday party.

First, I’m probably going to be late.
And I’m OK with that.

But, I’m going to want to get ready as fast as I possible can.
On a good day, I can make my eyeliner passable. If I’m in a hurry? Forget it!

That is unless I’m using Benefit Cosmetic’s They’re Real Push-Up Eyeliner, then razor sharp straight lines every single time.

After eyeliner, especially if you’re going to a fancy shindig, your next step should be lashes. While they’re obviously not a requirement, they do help to give me a little extra boost of confidence.

How anyone can pick out a lip color without overthinking it, is beyond me. I love a good red, and the holidays are perfect for that, yet something unexpected that is a chic as a little black dress?

A deep, dark lip color.

I am really liking NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania. After trying to find it in stores for what felt like forever, I was finally able to snag it during my last trip to Ulta Beauty.

Well worth the wait.
