Rumor has it that the lwd is the new lbd. I wasn’t sure how I felt about that, and then I got one.
And yes, the lwd is the new lbd!
What are your thoughts on the versatility of the lwd?

Me being in line to check out in a drugstore (or any store really) is just bad. While waiting to checkout at CVS, I spotted these cute tiny plants for $2 each.
I picked out three and figured I could finally do something with the small leftover candle jars I had.
This was super easy and didn’t really take much time at all. I had also scored a new bench that I’m using as a coffee table, I can’t want to style it using these mini planters. More photos to come!
I’ve done other succulent and cacti projects in the past but my green thumb isn’t so green. What plants do you like to decorate with, any recommendations?
Today actually hit the 70s! In Vermont, that’s a BIG freakin’ deal! So of course sandals are a must and that means one thing: PEDICURE!

Even though I’m super excited that the weather is nice, I have to be realistic. I know the temperatures will dip again, so I didn’t go too fancy with my feet, but my life needed a little perfection in it so, I went with Formula X for Sephora in Perfection.
For my mani I wanted to embrace spring and love A Crewed Interest by Essie, it’s one of my absolute favorites and just really reminds me of spring.
Still haven’t gotten my first official pedi of the season but when I do, you’ll know! Anyone else rockin’ sandals yet?
Although I truly enjoy living in Vermont, I have to admit that I miss having a Target in state. I mean Walmart is great, but it’s no Target.
All these Target collabs kill me, because if I can’t get it online, then I usually can’t get it. However, while I was visiting my parents, I figured I’d try my luck to see if anything from the Peter Pilotto for Target collection was left or made it’s way to clearance…
I was also happy to see that Merona and Mossimo have really stepped up their game!
I ended up not getting anything shown above (and I really wanted those tux inspired pants), but I would have gotten it all, if it had all been my size and I didn’t have bills to pay.
I did end up getting a couple of things…

What are your thoughts on Target’s style? Like what you see on my blog posts? Follow me on luvocracy! Not there? If I ever post about something and you can’t find it, let me know!
So…yesterday was my Monday (I had Monday off). Yesterday was also Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s.
Ben & Jerry’s is from Vermont. I live in Vermont. So naturally, I had to partake!

Not only did I make it with just one minute to spare (the event ran from noon until 8 pm), but they had my absolute FAVORITE flavor left. And sugar cones.
BEST DAY EVER!
If you’re in the area or ever looking for something to do, you should go on the factory tour!
Do you love Ben & Jerry’s? What’s your favorite flavor?
On my style page, I mentioned that I had submitted outfits to the Redbook’s Real Women Style Awards. I am SO excited to share that I was selected as one of the 25 semifinalists for America’s best-dressed women…I even made it onto a Redbook promo!
Voting goes until May 12th and the 10 finalists will get coverage in Redbook Magazine’s September issue!

Help spread the work using the hashtag #RBKBestDressed, and make sure to vote (…for me)!
Every now and then, I like to give my nails a break from color. In part, this is so they can get some light and breathe a little. That being said, I think my nails look kind of blah when I paint them clear. So I don’t anymore. At least not technically.
Instead of one alternative I use is Nail Glow by Dior. I love that it makes my nails look brighter. Whereas, clear polish just makes my yellowish nails look shiny…
What are you thoughts on clear polish?
Two nights ago, I had my head shaved.
Now, this is something I NEVER thought I’d do. I’d seen people do the “big chop” and thought how brave of them, or that it looked great on them, but that I couldn’t pull it off. I had already transitioned and had been team natural for about a year, but my hair wasn’t in the best condition, as I took a very, shall we say, Solange approach to my hair (with much different results).
Whenever I considered cutting off my hair, I would shoot it down. When I transitioned, I had grown out my relaxer and then cut off the relaxed ends, so I never did anything even remotely close to a big chop. I had gotten my hair cut shortish in the past, but that was because I’d asked for a Rihanna cut without being on top of the fact that she’d since cut her hair from a bob to a reverse mullet/pixie…big mistake on my part. People said it looked great but I just wanted it to hurry up and grow out.
I cried every morning for months.
So when the school that I work at held a fundraiser for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, my manfriend thought I was crazy when I told him that I wanted to be a shavee and go completely bald. He reminded me of how I’d hated my hair being really short and did not want to go through months of my misery. Got to love him! He even came and took pictures.

But this was different and for a really great cause. No tears, and it makes me happy to know that I stood (well sat) in solidarity with children who don’t get to make the choice to have or not to have hair. So I did it. And I’d do it again.

Conquer childhood cancer.
I Pinterest like it’s my day job.
