How to Shop Luxury for Less

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.

Luxury doesn’t have to be about being rich or logos, which we’ve learned from the era of quite luxury. However, sometimes that’s what we want!

Here’s two ways to shop luxury for less, whether you want to look rich or feel like you are.

Luxury Resale

I never saw myself as a much of a designer girl, but there are some bags that are too good to not want. However, if you’ve seen me post a new bag on social media, just know that I probably did not pay full retail price for it. While I don’t have a closet full of designer bags, I have been fortunate to track down a few I’d really wanted via luxury resale.

And in case you think you don’t know what that is, if you’ve heard of Rebag or Fashionphile, then you know. I own a Celine Nano Luggage, a mini Chanel Handle with Care Vanity Case, and a Chole Mini Vanity C Bag. All of which I really wanted and was able to find in great condition and under $2000. So, if you’re looking for a specific bag, I recommend shopping secondhand first.

Discounted Designer

While this may sound like shopping designer sales, that’s not exactly what I mean. Try shopping stores like TJ Maxx (The Runway section specifically), Saks off 5th, Nordstrom Rack, The Outnet, etc.

This method of shopping luxury for less requires a bit more effort, but when you find something splurge-worthy for a fraction of the cost, it’s so worth it! I will forever cherish my fur lined Gucci Princetown slides that I found at the Wrentham Premium Outlets Saks off 5th.

Which of these two ways to shop for luxury goods do you prefer? Let me know if you want to see any of my discounted designer picks!

Anine Bing Officially Open on Newbury Street in Boston Massachusetts

If you’ve been following Twenty Something Plus here or on Instagram for a while, then it’s really should come as no surprise just how I excited I was to learn the Anine Bing was coming to Boston.

As someone who started blogging in 2014, Anine Bing is someone that I’ve followed for a very long time. Watching her go from OG fashion blogger to iconic fashion designer has been the most inspirational.

Anine Bing Store Newbury Street Location

I still have and wear all of the pieces I’ve purchased from her brand over the years. Most of which are trendy but classic graphic t-shirts and sweatshirts. I also have a striped long sleeve tee, a couple of tanks and a longline lace bralette.

Getting invited to check out the new store on Newbury Street and select a couple of pieces was a dream come true. I made sure to try on the current top quality pieces that the brand is now also known for.

Anine Bing Everyday Wardrobe Essentials

There isn’t a single thing that I tried on and didn’t immediately want to take home. I’ll be sharing some try-on video content on my Instagram, so if you’re interested in seeing how they fit, make sure to give them a view here.

If you’re in Boston, I can’t recommend giving Anine Bing a visit enough! And if you haven’t shopped on Newbury Street in a while, there’s other stores you should stop in as well. Including Sézane, which popped up this summer.

Fall Fashion Trends with Neiman Marcus

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.

This most recent New York Fashion Week was truly one for the books. From the runway shows to the street style, I couldn’t have been more enthralled to see this season’s hottest styles!

Here are four fall fashion trends as predicted by Neiman Marcus, and spotted at NYFW by yours truly.

Red Hot

There’s no question that red is the color of the season. Whether you go with an all out monochromatic look, or just a pop of this bright hue, if you don’t have any of it in your closet currently, you’ll want to consider giving it a go!

Quite Luxury

Sophia Richie made rich girl chic a total vibe, and honestly this trend is one I absolutely ship. You don’t have to spend a ton to look expensive, just style chic basic pieces together in an effortless way.

Mini Skirts

Mini skirts are one trend from the 90s that I didn’t think I’d love a comeback from as much as I do. The shorter the better, we love a micro mini! In my opinion, this trend is the most versitile, seeing as how you can go grunge with a pair of lug boots and an oversized sweater, or preppy like I did here.

Fall Florals

Florals for fall may not be quite as common as for spring, but a dark floral dress gives autumn vibes in a way that nothing else can.

My Favorite T.J.Maxx Summer Finds

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. This post is sponsored by T.J.Maxx, but the content, opinions, and style shared are all my own.

I’ve partnered with T.J.Maxx to share my favorite finds of the summer. With 100s of new arrivals each week, it’s impossible not to fill your online shopping bag with your favorite designer brands. With free shipping on orders $89 or more, fighting the urge to buy everything that I find is a legitimate struggle for me. And with T.J.Maxx’s everyday low prices, I am completely and totally fine with that.

You know what I can seriously get enough of, ever? Denim. Specifically jeans. Two of the looks I am sharing are featuring designer blue jean denim, that I scored from The Runway section on The Runway section on T.J.Maxx.com. The Runway features premium designer fashion at incredible savings.

Initially I was concerned about the fit, and nervous about finding jeans that worked for me, but being able to filter down the size options eliminated me falling in love with any jeans that weren’t available in my size. No fomo, is a very good thing. If they happen to not fit the way I like, having the option to return them in store is super helpful!

And while jeans are still my number one go-to, finding my favorite brand dresses at great value, is too good an opportunity pass. This summer I’ve definitely found myself wearing dresses a little more than anything else. I didn’t expect to find this dress, but being able to search clothes by style (in this case contemporary) allowed me to view things I might not have searched for specifically, but are exactly what I didn’t know I wanted.

This linen dress is one that can be worn to picnics in the park, long walks on the beach, or days that are just plain hot.

I wore it most recently for a date night to a local pizzeria, where we ordered buffalo chicken everything and got caught in the rain on our way home. I plan to wear in again very soon during our family vacation to Maine.

These three different tjmaxx.com looks all help fulfill my desire for glamour and luxury, at prices the make me look like the star that I think that I am. And the second look, the bodysuit and shoe are also from tjmaxx.com!

Luxury Wish List

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.

I’m not going all out for Black Friday shopping this year. However, that doesn’t mean that I’m not planning holiday wish lists. I’ve decided to go easy on the blogging to finish out the year. For a number of reasons. But, I’ll be sharing various wish lists from now until Christmas. Whenever the mood strikes me.

To start, I wanted to share a few higher end luxury items. Ones I’ve been eyeing and figured a few of you might be interested in as well. To be clear, I can’t afford half of this, but I can let it inspire my purchases. I can also save up for one or two things that I really want.

Everything in the image above is linked and you can shop the exact items or something similar. I’ve also linked to the exact items below.

  1. Canada Goose Coat
  2. Celine Handbag
  3. Gucci Belt
  4. Louis Vuitton Tote
  5. Celine Sunglasses
  6. Louis Vuitton Handbag
  7. Christian Louboutin Heels
  8. Saint Laurent Wallet

Have your heart set on any particular luxury items? Share in the comments the one splurge you want the most!
