About a year ago I joined Polyvore. I had learned about it at Alt Summit, but I really only used it to do a couple of wish list style blog posts.
This year at Alt, one of the sessions talked about Polyvore in a community sense. I must be a sucker for community, because I have been on it creating sets and entering contests like a madwoman!
I seriously can’t get enough.
You know how you go on Pinterest to “pin a few things” and the next thing you know it’s been two hours? Same concept. Except in stead of pinning outfits that you wish were in your closet to your style board, you’re creating those outfits.
Here’s a little outfit inspo I created using Polyvore:
I know I would SO wear both of these outfit options…if I had all those things, that is.
Who wants to go shopping?!
A while back, I found the perfect fence for my #ootd photos on Instagram (I don’t share them everyday, but when I do it makes me happy). One of the first times I posted one, it was captioned Fence on fleek.
Are there any hashtags that you follow? I know that #stateyourstyle is one that I really like and #uhmoodring is a fun one that encourages you to dress how you feel.
Do you think anyone will notice that I wore this to another wedding?
Is the venue air conditioned?
How short is too short?
Will this match the wedding party a little too much?
I try to avoid the stress by wearing two things.
Yep, two.
A dress.
And a sweater.
I know! How easy is that?
I bought this dress from T.J. Maxx when it was the day of and I couldn’t think of what to wear to a friend’s wedding. I ended up being late (UGH!) and vowed (sorry…) that I would never let that happen again.
Keep jewelry and makeup simple, remember you are not the bride.
This tennis bracelet Anjolee sent me is elegant and ideal.
If you’re looking for a more personal touch, with Anjolee, you can customize any jewelry design from designer stud earrings to anniversary rings for women.
Add matching heels and grab a clutch and you’ll never have to worry about what to wear again!
I personally don’t have any weddings to attend this wedding season. What’s really great about an outfit like this is that it can also be worn for a nice dinner date.
Unless you count leopard print, I don’t have a favorite color. There are colors that I like, colors that I love, but none that I would consider my favorite. When people can’t understand that, I used to just tell them yellow.
Thanks to J. Crew, I think it’s safe to say that my signature color is now orange.
My coat is not the only orange possession I have and am obsessed with…
Lately I’ve been feeling like Olaf from Frozen. Go With the Lava Flow from OPI’s Hawaii Collection that I got from People’s Stylewatch, gives me hope that summer will come.
This clutch is far from new, but I love it.
I have the pleasure of attending Monarch Workshop this past weekend and meet some of the most amazing women, EVER. I’ll be sharing more about my experience later, but one inspirational beauty, Alyssa Antonucci, makes the absolute cutest beaded bracelets. I am so in love with this tassel one from her, that I don’t think I’ve taken it off since the workshop!
For the longest time I thought that flip flops were flip flops and Havaianas were overrated. Then I found a pair at T.J.Maxx and I can’t believe I ever though such ludicrous things…
And last, but not least, I snagged this orange tank from Old Navy clearance for $2! I’d seen it and wanted it, but wasn’t sure just how much so I didn’t buy it, wait, and then had to have it. I went back, couldn’t find it, got really upset, then went through the entire clearance section until I found it. I earned this top. You will definitely be seeing it in an outfit post or two at some point.
Do you have a signature color? What’s your favorite color to wear?
I’d been saying that I need to replace my brown booties for a while. And lately I’ve been obsessed with Gap (and more specifically the ridiculous sales they’ve been having lately).
These ankle booties were basically a no brainer. As were these jean leggings, which I got for only like five or six bucks!
In other news, I have yet to part ways with my other brown ankle booties. I mean, they’re different. They have more of a heel, and they are a bit taller…
This is my first outfit post (I’ve been trying to do more) since Daylight Saving Time, and the New England temps have basically been borderline spring (SO tempted to wear shorts), so layers had to happen. I don’t have too many transitional season styling tips, but layers are a MUST. Especially, for those spring “hot flash” moments, where you’re um am I hot or am I cold…

I like to think of my style as pretty basic, like chic, but casual. And I even tried to follow the three piece rule. Thoughts?
After getting my Big Hair Don’t Care sweatshirt from Birchbox (because you know, I just had to have it), I may or may not have gotten my hair cut (thank you, Supercuts), and completely forgot to share about it.
The phrase didn’t really seem to apply anymore (sorry, Bow & Drape), but I wanted to rock it while there was still snow on the ground. (Not that this much can go anywhere…)
So, I decided to go ahead, give my newly short hair a little bit of volume, and call it a day.
Big Short hair don’t care.
My growing obsession with this sweater has lead me really want the short-sleeved I Need Coffee one, super bad!

One of the easiest ways to stand out is to add a bright pop of color to whatever you’re wearing. I cannot tell you how many people have told me they love my coat, even on the subway in the city where you avoid eye contact at all cost!
Obviously, I am no stranger to making a statement and love to wear things that put me in the limelight.
So, when I was connected with Jennifer of Glossy Queen and discovered her handmade minimalist (but very bold) boho jewelry, I swooned in a major way!
Having started out as a fashion designer prior to designing jewelry, Jennifer is now back in fashion, so you can score new, pre-loved and vintage clothing in addition to her jewelry.
This thread wrapped statement bib necklaces in her Etsy shop is currently on sale and when they all go, they’re gone.
You can also find Glossy Queen on eBay and Poshmark.
The statement bibs are so much fun, that any outfit can become party ready just by adding it. Wearing all black, all white, or a combo of the two? Perfect!
“More style, less stuff.” – Jennifer of Glossy Queen
Glossy Queen has so much in the works and is doing things to change the way we shop.
If that alone doesn’t excite you, then maybe an Instagram giveaway will!
Make sure to follow both Twenty Something Plus and Glossy Queen on Instagram for a chance to win your very own Glossy Queen original piece!
AND if you use the code FREESHIP at checkout on Etsy, then guess what you get… Free shipping!
This year I want to make an effort to do more outfit posts.
Not only outfits, but more.
I shared a ton of outfits on Instagram, I just didn’t share nearly as many on here.
So to start the year, I want to share my 10 favorite outfits from Insta!
As you can probably tell, even though I like to switch up my look, my style always tends to be a little on the dramatic side.
Is there anything you’d like to see styled on Twenty Something Plus? If I have it or something similar, I’m up for the challenge, just let me know!
I almost never post twice in one day, but when one of your favorite beauty bloggers tags you for a ‘This or That’ post, you do it. Thanks, Kristina!
How This or That works:
1. State who tagged you (provide link) Answer all the questions.
2. Select one ‘This or That’ question for all your readers to answer.
3. Tag 4 others to answer ALL of the “this or that” questions on their blogs (provide links)… They say you really get to know people when they’re put in tight situations. Today’s “This or That” is going to do just that!”
Any other fellow bloggers that want to are more than welcome to consider themselves tagged!
Not a blogger + not tagged?
It’s OK, you can still comment! And I’d be interested to know your answer for number 29!
