Of all the Who What Wear pieces I picked up, the one that had me rush out to Target in the first place was the cape blazer.
I had been wanting to grow up my wardrobe a little bit, and this blazer do just that. And in a trendy way. Now, usually I’m not all that big on trends, but this is one that spoke to my very core.
Everything I’m wearing in this post, aside from the cape blazer that is, isn’t exactly new. The actual items are no longer available from where I got them.
But don’t worry, I’ve linked to some similar items below!
Walking into Target lately has been bad news for my bank account. So, I’m trying to steer clear. In hopes of holding me over for a bit, I’ve made a Target wish list…
While I am extremely grateful for my Who What Wear x Target buys, there is still a few more things that I want. In particular, the zip pouch and the knotted belt. I mean, not only do they match but they could literally go with just about anything! If I had to choose between the two, I would have to go with the belt. That being said, I really want them both.
Also, in other unrelated, but totally still kind of related news, the Oh Joy for Target home decor collection launched and is now both in stores and online and I already have my eye on a few items for the home office space that I don’t yet have…
The dotty acrylic table would make the perfect fun side table! It doesn’t take up a lot of space and would go great with the rug I have in mind.
Wall art is something I appreciate but have never invested in. Sure I could DIY it, but the You’re OK and Hey Hey Hey framed wall art prints are exactly what I didn’t know I’d been looking for!
Just because I won’t be attending NYFW this season, it doesn’t mean that I can’t do something a little fashion forward on my own.
Even before I scored any of pieces from the Who What Wear x Target collection, I was thinking about which items I wanted and how I would style each of them.
One of my favorite pieces was this trench vest. I honestly didn’t think I’d actually end up getting it, but it is so me and I’m positive it’ll be worn very often!
And their most recent launch with Who What Wear is what style bloggers’ dreams are made of. Especially those on a budget. Everything in the collection is under $50!
When I say that I have been waiting for this, I mean I literally marked it on my calendar and counted down the days.
As much as I may have wanted to, I couldn’t buy it all.
Stripes, black, and tees are the three things that are constantly on repeat in my wardrobe. So, this striped black tee didn’t stand a chance not to come home with me. It was also the last one in my size, praise hands emoji!
Again with the stripes. And I have been needing to grown up my winter wardrobe some. This sweater lets me do just that, while also staying true to my taste.
Not so much for winter, or what I would typically buy, but I love the elegance of this tunic! It’s something that I’d put on my vision board if I had one just for clothes.
This cape blazer screams NYFW and is something I would have thought I’d never own, especially not for under $50! It’s the first piece that caught my eye in the collection and the main reason I swooned so hard over it. I had get a sales associate to take if off the display for me.
The trench vest looks like a couple of jackets and other military style vests I have. I have been obsessed with the style ever since my dad gave me one of his old jackets from his days as a Marine. I wasn’t going to get it, but the manfriend looked at it and told me it looked like me. I mean, how could I not after that?
Call me crazy, but I am such a sucker for Valentine’s Day!
While I may not be the mushy type, that doesn’t mean that I don’t value love. Speaking of love, today my sister and I are going to an event all about celebrating self-love.
In kind of honor of said event, I’m sharing two Valentine’s Day inspired looks featuring the perfect red winter hat that I found on clearance at Target, after almost giving up hope!
I’m also really excited about these overalls. I found them at Target on clearance as well. And while I wasn’t exactly looking for them, they very much so needed to be in my closet!
There’s still a couple of weeks or so before Valentine’s Day, but I wanted to share these outfits with you in hopes of them helping to inspire you even a just little bit. And, if you’re not that into Valentine’s Day like that, make sure to at least give yourself some love!
Even though there are plenty of times I’ve been mistaken for much younger, I am almost basically 30.
I haven’t spotted any major signs of aging, but have given a lot more thought to my skincare routine.
And like many other 20 (almost 30) something year olds, I spend a lot of time at Target.
So, I was very happy to notice the lotus on the the Target shelves. Hearing that derma e, a brand that I use frequently, is now at Target is huge! Not that I’m against online shopping, it’s just so much easier to pick up things while I’m already out.
Plus, it’s motivates me to try new products.
Like their Firming DMAE Eye Lift cream.
Since I don’t really have many to begin with, this was more preemptive on my part.
A little, but helpful, trick that also helps? Use your ring finger to pat on eye creams! The eye area is super sensitive, avoid tugging on it.
Wrinkles and fine lines? Not on my face!
If you need me, I’ll be at Target.
Not sure if you noticed, but in my wedding season post, my hair had recently been done professionally. A little snip snip, a few extensions added, I was happy with the results and felt really good.
Usually, if I get extensions I have them sewn in, this time bonding glue was used.
Not a huge deal.
Then, after about two weeks it was time to take the extensions out. This process involved a lot of baby oil. It was one big slippery mess. Here’s where there was a problem, afterwards, my hair was still sticky. I washed it, tried more baby oil, dry shampoo, you name it. Nothing worked, and I was starting to get grossed out by my own hair.
Maybe washing my hair for a second time also helped, but the shampoo got the remaining stickiness out so my hair was squeaky clean. And the conditioner left my hair soft, especially considering I had just washed my hair twice.
Soapbox gave me hope for my hair and after doing a little homework, I learned about the mission of the company and my heart smiled. They “use soap to improve the world”.
For under $5 at Target (because you know you’re going to be going on a run there soon anyways), you can give the world a little hope and look good while doing it!
