Yet again I opted to receive the featured box for my September Birchbox. But in my defense it’s the Customer Favorites, so all the samples are loved by us! There was not one product that I got this month that I hated.

It seems like everyone is excited for fall. Pumpkin soy latte this, blanket scarf that…
I mean I love wearing sweaters too, but right now my desire to wear open toes shoes definitely outweighs my urge to go apple picking. And right now it’s still warm enough to do both. Yay for being able to continue rocking your sandals while also prepping for Halloween!
A super easy way to take your summer sandals and make them feel a little more this season? Giving yourself a autumn colored pedi is the perfect way to transition your sandals for fall!
My mom gave me these OPI minis that she’d been holding onto. I’m currently wearing Malaga Wine, but will probably switch to Lincoln Park After Dark later this week…
The only way to know for sure is to stalk my Instagram feed.
Can you tell that summer is my favorite season? Maybe I just need some apple crisp in my life…
While I’ve super sad the summer has to end, I am beyond pumped that some of my favorite TV shows are back on!
Don’t get me wrong watching reruns of Friends and HIMYM makes for great times, but new episodes are the reason I like to not have plans on week nights.
The Mindy Project | Hulu
I have loved this show since the beginning and was mortified when I found out it was going to be on Fox after New Girl. My Tuesday night routine won’t be the same, but at least I still have Mindy. I already watched the first episode, it’s on Hulu and currently free. The second episode is up, but you can only watch it if you have a Hulu subscription.
The Big Bang Theory | CBS
I think I was looking forward to the season premier of Big Bang the most, and I was a little disappointed. I won’t say why because spoiler alerts are the worst, but the next episode looks like it’ll make up for it.
Modern Family | ABC
I’m a sucker for will they, won’t they couples.
Brooklyn 99 | Fox
New Captain, new drama. Can’t wait.
Once Upon A Time | ABC
The Dark Swan. Enough said.
Undateable | NBC
Undateable doesn’t start back up until October 9th, but this season the episodes are going to be all-live. It’s going to be a major hit or miss, but no matter what, I know I’m going to find it hilarious!
Clearly I’m a huge fan of comedy.
What TV show are you most looking forward to this season?
My last few Julep Maven Box posts have been the result of me forgetting to skip the month (as I stop typing to go skip for October), but not this time…
I racked up enough Jules to get my September box free!
I usually go with my Bombshell box, but this time opted for the It Girl, all nail polish box. So, where I would typically get two nail colors and a beauty product, this month I got three nail colors.
Well, technically four. Because this month’s treat was the signature Julep nail color! It’s my favorite one this month and I am so happy about the timing of this all!
I got a holographic color in my August box as well, they are fun, but I don’t know that I’ll wear them very often. I guess I’m just kind of basic like that.
I thought Aubrey was a holographic color as well. Turns out it’s not, but still fun. Plus, it’ll be nice for fall. Which officially begins tomorrow. Can you believe it? I’m not ready. Some friends and I even have a giveaway on Instagram because #summerforever!
Zoey is legit the color I have been looking for all summer. Is it too sad to say that I’m already looking forward to wearing it next year? Not that I won’t before then.
So many colors, it looks like I’m going to have to start doing my nails more.
How often do you switch up your polish?

While volunteering at a local beauty event, I discovered a new local skincare brand.
And you guys, I’m OBSESSED.
Palmetto Derma products are all paraben and sulfate-free. And vegan!
Plus, 1% of their profits goes to Breast Cancer Awareness.
I’ve tired a number of skincare systems, but not really any cleansers.
With the Palmetto Derma lavender water and tea tree oil daily cleanser, my face is actually clean. Kiss those clogged pores goodbye!
As you know, I can never get enough of multitasking products, so this rose water and aloe toning facial spray is something I consider a major must have. And it even comes in a set with the cleanser! Natural. Organic. Plus cruelty free AND local?!
As much as I love makeup, I want to be comfortable enough in my own skin to not feel like I need it. And Palmetto Derma actually supports that in their mission.
#MyOneYearGoal is helping spread the word about the Visionary Journal, a goal management system designed to help you keep your important goals top of mind and transform your dreams into your reality. Imagine what you will accomplish by making your goals a priority and focusing on the tasks that will get you closer to completion. Create Your Vision. Change Your Life.
Thinking about the future makes me anxious. That’s not to say that I don’t have goals. Because I do. They’re just…
Vague.
There are times when I feel that I don’t have the life I want. And I have no one to blame but myself for that.
What could I accomplish in a year that would move my life significantly forward?
Good question…
Anything really.
See?
Vague.
Monique, my friend and boss babe blogger of Keep Chasing the Stars and creator of the Visionary Journal, taught me that by creating a clear vision, you form the foundation you need to change your life. You are writing out your action plan.
Last year, I shared a list of 30 things I wanted to do before turning 30. Some things were random little bucket list items, but a few of them were things I wanted to accomplish in order to improve my life.
Having a clear vision made it possible for me to actually achieve the things that I really wanted. In less than a year I learned Photoshop, which I now use for my Monthly Loves posts and I was a speaker at Alt Summit.
I want to know that my blog, although it started out as a hobby, is more than that. For me, I’ll know I’ve “made it” as a life and style blogger when I am featured as such. Perhaps in a magazine or in a commercial. Maybe even both!
Not the most clear, I know, but it’s a start.
I’m not the only one answering this question. So go read Monique’s blog post to find out her one year goal and to learn a little more about the Visionary Journal!
I believe that dreams without actions are just wishes. Wishes belong in fairy tales.

I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of wishing.
What could you accomplish in a year that would move your life significantly forward?
One palette. Ten colors. Five days.
Guess who just successfully completed the Electric Challenge…
Here are the 5 electric looks I shared on Instagram!
Thinking of trying the #electricchallenge, but worried you won’t be able to come up with any ideas?
It is seriously SO much easier than what you’re probably thinking. Just do what I did and use Pinterest for inspiration, but don’t be afraid to get creative!
