Fall is far from my favorite season, however, there is so much to do in Boston this fall that I’ve been looking forward to!
Sure there’s apple picking and pumpkin patches, and trips to Salem. But one of my favorite things to do in the fall is to visit King Richard’s Faire.
If you’ve never been, here are some things to look forward to, in addition to their themed days–
Costumes
As the fashion lover that I am, one thing I love most about going to King Richard’s Faire is seeing all of the outfits and costumes that people wear. Don’t do cosplay or have anything to wear? You can rent a costume for the day from Seams Like a Dream located right by the entrance!
Food
The chicken tenders, fries and ice cream are always a hit with my niece and nephew, but if you really want to get into the Renaissance Faire spirit, I can’t recommend the turkey leg enough.
Shows
Are you a theater kid at heart? I know I am, so I make sure to catch at least one musical performance on the King’s Stage. You’re sure to recognize a melody or two…
Jousting
Perhaps the most memorable experience is the jousting, a joust to the death and so much blood! But all in good fun, of course.
Rides
A medieval amusement park, if you will! The swings were a favorite and worth waiting in line to ride several times.
Shopping
My personal favorite part is the shopping. We walked around with the queen of the faire herself, and learned about all things fashion and costuming. I will for sure have my own dress from Moresca Clothing & Costume, boots from Son of Sandlar and chainmaile or jewelry from Mardigan’s Maile to wear next year! And if you’re ever not sure of what to get for a gift for someone you know who happens to be into LARPing or role playing games, you’ll absolutely want to check out Dragonfly’s Realm and Dragon’s Den Candles.
Have you ever been to a Renaissance Faire? Sad you missed out on going to King Richard’s Faire with me this year? Well there’s still time! AND EVEN BETTER, I’m partnering with King Richard’s Faire to give one of you the chance to win four (4) tickets to their Fantasy Finale Weekend! To enter, leave a comment on this blog post sharing what you’re most looking forward to at King Richard’s Faire, along with your email address (so that I can contact you if you win). One (1) lucky winner will be selected and notified Monday, October 17, 2022.
And make sure to check out my Instagram for even more photos from the faire!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve officially reached the point where I am so over winter and ready for spring. I’m excited for the return of longer days and warmer temperatures, and I’ll be celebrating by shopping for some spring must-haves at Banana Republic Factory!
Whether you’ll be doing a little spring cleaning and need to revamp your closet staples, or just looking for an excuse to buy some new spring pieces to add to your wardrobe, Banana Republic Factory is currently offering 50% off everything!
It has gotten so cold outside! And although I want to look cute when I step out, I am not trying to freeze in the process. This year I’m also trying to make the best purchases for both myself and the planet. So, when it comes to staying on trend and warm, I shop sustainable items and do my part to help make a difference with Nordstrom Made brands.
I’ve often shared that one of my favorite ever Nordstrom Made brands is Treasure & Bond. What I may have not shared is that my favorite trending item is the puffer jacket. Finding a sustainable long puffer jacket by Treasure & Bond was the best possible discovery!
I’m the most excited to wear it all winter long. Here are two of the ways that I’ve styled it already–
Since my style is more on the casual side, I had to wear it with my favorite sustainable jeans and a new ribbed tank top that I picked up with the puffer jacket with the comfy boots I essentially live in.

This dress is actually one that I’ve had for a while, I absolutely adore it and cannot recommend it enough. And with the boots and bag that everyone has been raving about, what’s not to love about this look?

One of the best things happened when I purchased my puffer jacket, I was able to use $20 in Nordstrom Notes and ended up technically also getting the Treasure & Bond ribbed tank for free! Even though I am far from what anyone would consider a fitness fanatic, there is no denying my love of athletic apparel. One of my all time favorite brands to shop for athletic apparel is the Nordstrom Made brand Zella. And one of my favorite ever purchases is this Zella Longline Quilted Bomber Jacket. Not only is it great for cold weather, it’s super chic and under $200!

Holiday sale season is upon us, and Nordstrom is one of my top destinations to shop during Cyber Week. This year I’ll be stocking up on Nordstrom Made gifts for the holidays and more!
I’m still really loving the Nordstrom Made blanket that I scored last year, and you can never have too many throw blankets so of course I have some of those at the top of my list to get to both gift, and for myself.
In addition to blankets, Nordstrom has tons of great Nordstrom Made gifts, no matter who you’re shopping for.
Here’s what I found and am adding to my shopping list for under $100, including the exact pajamas I’m wearing–

While my favorite kind of football will always be soccer, seeing as how I did play in both high school and college, that doesn’t mean that I don’t love my New England Patriots something fierce. There’s hardly anything football related that I love more than showing my support for them in style with cute football game outfit ideas, even if I do tend to stay at home on game day.
If you’ve ever found yourself trying to figure out what to wear to a football game, this blog post is definitely for you!
Regardless of whether you’ll be in a stadium or on a couch, or watching college or NFL, here are three cute outfits to wear to a football game—
And here are eight picks to wear this season—
I already own a some of these items, and all the others are on my Christmas list!
Please don’t think that you need to run out and buy team apparel just to look good at a game. If there’s anything in your closet that already own in your team’s colors that will work just perfectly as well. I know for other sports, I’ve also been known to rock and all black look.
The weather in New England can be pretty unpredictable, especially in the fall. The key to being prepared for the changing of seasons is lightweight fall staple pieces that you can layer differently throughout the day.
The number one lightweight fall piece that I love for transitional dressing is a fleece. Dick’s Sporting Goods has so many great options in this category, including my personal favorite, which is The North Face Denali Fleece.
Not only do fleeces make the perfect jacket for this time of year, they look great with everything from a tank top to a turtleneck. And if you have a thin enough jacket or vest, you can layer one under your fleece as well.
Shop fleeces—
In addition to lightweight layering pieces, another way that I like to adjust to the dropping temperatures is to switch up my footwear.
Plus with the holidays just around the corner, it’s worth noting that these cold weather accessories also make great gifts! Dick’s Sporting Goods has blankets, tumblers, and whatever else you might need for your next adventure.
In case you couldn’t tell from my previous blog post, I’ve decided to go all out for Halloween this year. And the only thing that I might love even more than a stylish Halloween costume, are scary cute Halloween nails. I even went as far as to coordinate my nails with some of my Halloween costumes, like these snake accent nails that I wore with my Medusa costume.
Nail art has been blowing up on social media lately, so much so, that I recently took a Gel X class just so I could learn how to do my nails for myself. While I’m far from a professional nail technician by any means, I can now at least do my own nails a number of different ways.
Even so, my go to way to do my nails is still to use press on nails.
