Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview

Happy Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview day to all who celebrate! I know that the famous Nordstrom sale can be a bit overwhelming, but it’s honestly one of the best ways to replenish your beauty buys.

I have so many favorites that are ideal to stock up on during the NSale, that of course I obviously had to share. While you can’t shop the sale just yet, you can plan your buys before the sale starts on July 18!

MAKEUP

While Mascara is also currently on sale (buy one, get one free until tomorrow) at Ulta Beauty, two of my favorites will be a part of the anniversary sale. Too Faced (I especially love the waterproof version which isn’t apart of the NSale, but you can get it via the Ulta Beauty sale if you hurry) and YSL (also in brown).

What’s mascara without my favorite ever primer? I will never not have this lash primer in my makeup bag. Speaking of which, I spotted this cosmetic case that I’m seriously considering.

On to lip products, which I don’t actually need more of at the moment, but if I were running low on any of these I would be adding them to cart immediately. YSL especially this lip plumping gloss (I have it in four colors and love them all), Clinique in this viral shade is a frequent go-to (but I already stocked up so I’m good to go), and Prada (I have two of the three in full-size which are not on sale, but the minis are too cute and will be).

I also have YSL blush and eyeshadow that I use for special occasions. There’s also a few other products I like that I’ll include in the SHOP THE POST section at the end of this blog post, so make sure to check that out!

SKIN CARE

Okay so for skin care I’m including things also for body and hair. Nécessaire has become an engrained part of my daily routine that I make sure to never run out. But I am running low and need the body wash so that has to happen.

Something I was once gifted and didn’t expect to need as much as I do is this peel. I hate how much I love it! Finding it on sale was almost too good to be true.

Olaplex has been essential for me ever since my stylist used it on my hair when I would go get silk presses. I love most of their products, and use the bonding oil regularly.

Pretty much always in my bag are Touchland and L’Occitane so these duos are must-haves!

FRAGRANCES

I feel like lately I’ve been talking about fragrances a lot, but these deserve to be mentioned. I love Prada and Valentino and since both are available during the sale, I have to bring them to your attention.

There’s tons of beauty tools, clothes and other things you can also buy, (like my clear bag) but I wanted to focus on the beauty exclusives because that’s what’s mostly in my cart for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. New Year, New Beauty & Hair Care Goals

I’ve never been all that big on New Year’s resolutions, and this year I’ve been even more hesitant to set one. That doesn’t mean that I don’t have goals, and some pretty lofty ones! Since I’ll be continuing to stay home at this time, I figured I would make the most of it as much as I could, by trying to refine my makeup, skincare, and hair care routines. For makeup and skincare, my goal is to get better at applying the products I already know that I love to create Instagram-worthy beauty looks. And also pin down  routines that work, so that I can be more consistent with them. 

Now, with hair care it’s a bit different. If you’re at all familiar with my hair journey, then you know that it is all over the place. But you also know that I’m not good at doing hair, my sisters usually are the ones to do mine for me, and when I find something I can do, I do it on repeat (hello, slick ponytail, that involves A LOT of gel)! 

After checking out the Allure Best of Beauty 2020 winners, and scoping out Nordstrom’s new beauty arrivals, I decided to give a few things a try, including the Sigma Beauty F79 Concealer Blend Kabuki Brush and T3 Lucea ID 1-inch Smart Straightening & Styling Flat Iron. 

Having used the flat iron a few times now, I 100% get why so many bloggers and influencers rave about it. It’s that good! I really want to try one of their curling irons next! I’m still getting better at doing my own hair, especially since going natural, and have a ways to go. But being able to straighten it with ease means I can try more styles, which is the goal.

I know we’re not going out as much or even at all really, and when we are, we’re staying face masked up. But, that doesn’t mean we aren’t taking care of our lips.
